Ms. Beale informed me last summer by letter, that Mrs. Carter was not willing to give me a separate table for less than $200 a month. I think that exorbitant with the simple accommodations I require. True, I would not hesitate to give that or more for such accommodations as I have at home. But they are not to be had at a Washington boarding house.
