Will you have the kindness to send me Philander P. Smith's Army discharge and also the doctor's certificate of Mr. Smith's death. as I want to apply to the government for a pension for Arthur B. Smith the son of Mr. Smith. he is 15 years old and can draw pension a year or until he is 16. It wont be much but will help the poor boy along a little. We have everything but those two papers. without them we cant apply. Hoping to hear form you at your earliest convenience.
